A small Australian start-up is out to reinvent the wheel. Known as Carbon Revolution, the firm has developed what it claims to be the world’s first wheels made of carbon fiber -- a super-light material that could help improve fuel economy, durability and vehicle performance - but at a hefty price. As TheDetroitBureau.com reports, the first of these wheels will cost $15,000 a set. But working with several European makers, Carbon Revolution hopes to bring that down to $1,000 in a few years.
